Dear Wisconsin,
Keep your dang Snowbirds! I hear Florida likes 'em, send them there.
You know that saying about visitors and fish stinking after 3 days? Change the days to months and it about sums it up. Every year you taint the few months of decent weather we have by clogging our streets, doubling our commutes, giving our kids dirty looks, running us over and off the streets, and being all around annoying. We know many of you are no longer allowed to drive in your home states, yet you come here and blatantly disregard the the restriction...NOT ok.
Really?!? Was it necessary to park 1 inch from my bumper? It took all I had in me to not scratch the crap out of that shiny Buick hood while putting the big ol' stroller in my trunk. Yes, this one happen to be from Wisconsin, but my disdain is equally shared for Snowbirds from Illinois, Indiana, Minnesota, etc.
The day drastically improved after this little incident with a luke-warm date (kids were in tow) to Sam's Club and Cold Stone later. I'm so addicted to the Founder's Favorite with just a little caramel and lots of the fudge. My sweet Stephen humors me with a date at least twice a month. Have I mentioned how glad I am that he has a job again and we can do that? My mouth watered every time we drove by a Cold Stone, and I knew we couldn't stop, during our broke years.

You've definitely got a point! They make driving around here so much more difficult!!! And that was a REALLY close parking job...NOT COOL!
I'm glad you got to end the day with some ColdStone! I took the girls there last weekend...they had never been. It was the coolest thing to them to get to pick their flavor and mix-in. We even stopped and ate inside the shop. They are hoping they get to go back soon, under the guise of the fact that we didn't have daddy with us so we have to go again! ;) Creative little ones!
Wow, you have a date twice a month. I think the last time Charles and I had a date together (with no kids) was at least a year ago.
Dear Courtney, you have to live near the grandparents to get those dates. . . though the Maskeys don't call on us that often. I hear they have a little warmer dates when at least one of the boys have their overnighters :-}
Wish the the girls were close enough to have over more often for their hot dates!
Amen!
Mariah - my friend. We need to be neighbors to help each other with these little girls we got! I miss you and love you and hope you are doing great (or as good as can be). I have to tell you my heart has broken a couple times as I've read your blog and had flashbacks of our journey with Abby and how similar (but different) what both of us are going through. Thanks for keeping tabs on me too! Sorry I don't keep in touch better.
