Bad Word

The boys like to say, "What theeeee..." and then just leave it at that. I'm ok with it as long as they don't finish it. Nanny does not like it and won't let them say it at her house. The other day I heard Garrett say, "What theeeee". Gabriel responded quickly, "oooo you said a bad word". Garrett got a determined little look on his face and said, "No it's not, only at Nanny's, I'm not at Nanny's".

As long as he keeps it straight which house he's at we should be in good shape.

No you're not, you should listen to your mama and teach them to say, "What in the world"?

LOL I have this same conversation with my hubby! It's the suggestion that comes into your mind when you hear it...Teele says, "Gaaa Damn" and it makes me so angry. He insists he's not taking the Lords name in vain but every time he says it that's what my mind heres and it makes me mad. So I'm siding with Sharron on this one...but yes it's not a bad word...the bad word is what what pops into your mind "Silently" that no body hears. Hope that makes sense. Funny that Teele and I argue about this very issue!

I remember being a kid and having to remember what's considered a bad word at whose house and what's not bad at someone else's house. Can't we just decide on a list of bad words that everyone can agree on?! ; )

My girls are supposed to say "Oh my word!" In place of Oh my gosh...which is way to close to the one we don't want them to say. "Oh my word!" is taken from an old Shirley Temple movie, and its just so cute when Tati says it! :)

Speaking of what's ok at Nanny's and whats okay at home. Last night at the dinner table it came up that the girls can't say "butt" at Nanny's house. Well, I guess that's out fault because we use it. But we've clarified that it is only to be used to refer to our bottoms, and NOT to call someone a name. Since they've been good about it, we don't mind it too much. But now we have to help them not to say it at nannys...lol. Oh well, we can't win them all. And there are way worse things they could be saying. Now, if only we could get them to stop saying "Stupid", that would be nice!
